Dr. Maderal is interested in complex medical dermatology with a specific focus in autoimmune connective tissue diseases. As chief resident at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, she help launch the Department of Dermatology’s first Autoimmune Connective Tissue Disease Clinic, specializing in patients with these complex disorders. She currently assistant professor in Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
Dr. Maderal performed her undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania before returning to Miami for both her medical school education and residency training at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
As director of the Autoimmune Connective Tissue Disease Clinic, chief of the Jackson Memorial Hospital Inpatient Consult service, and director of the Hansen’s Disease Program, she focuses on the management of complex dermatologic cases. She is also committed to advanced dermatology education as the director of Dermatology Medical Student Education at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
