Dr. Kirsner holds several academic and leadership positions in the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine’s Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery. His primary research interests are in wound healing and skin cancer epidemiology, for which he’s received National Institutes of Health, American Chemical Society, and U.S. Centers for Disease Control grants, as well as industry-sponsored funding. He’s published findings from these studies in books, abstracts and over 500 peer-reviewed articles, and has received numerous awards throughout his career in medicine and academia.
